Cattanach, Eileen Rae (4 APR 1959)

A beautiful wedding was solemnized Saturday, April 4th, 1959, by the Rev. H.L. Crubel when Miss Eileen Rae Cattanch exchanged vows with Chester Jacob Przybylski at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen.  Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Bert C. Cattanach of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Przybylski of Thorp.  The children’s choir of the Holy Rosary school furnished the music.

The bride approached the altar with her father, wearing a waltz length gown of white crystalette styled by cap sleeves, scoop neckline and a cummerbund which featured a bow in the front.  The silk illusion veil fell from a crown of dainty seed pearls.  The bride carried a heart shaped bouquet of pink roses and white carnations.

The bride’s sister, Miss Mary Cattanach of Owen, served as maid of honor.  She appeared in a gown of Nile green of embroidered nylon net.  The full skirt was in waltz length and the bodice featured a Sabrina neckline with cap sleeves.  She carried white daisies and carnations.

Richard Cattanach of Owen was best man at his sister’s wedding.  Ushers were Donald Zukowski of Thorp and James Lamont of Abbotsford.  The groom wore a gray business suit and the attendants wore light gray sport coats with dark gray trousers.

Immediately after the ceremony a breakfast was served at the Woodland Hotel.  A reception and dinner was held at the American Legion Post at Owen, after which a wedding dance was held at the Legion Hall in Thorp.

Mrs. Przybylski is a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School and the groom graduated from the Thorp High School.  Mrs. Przybylski has been employed at the Thorp Finance Corp. as an accountant and the groom is a cheesemaker.  Mr. and Mrs. Przybylski will make their home on a farm south of Thorp.
