Klemetson, Morris #4 (8 AUG 1888 - 11 FEB 1959)

 

Morris Klemetson, age 70, passed away at his home on Wednesday morning, Feb. 11, 1959, from a heart attack.  Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 14, from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home at Owen.  Burial was made on the family lot at Curtiss Lutheran Cemetery.

 

Mr. Klemetson was born Aug. 8, 1888, at Oslo, Norway.  As a child he came to America with his parents to the town of Mayville (Clark Co., Wis.) where he has lived since.  His occupation was farming and carpentry.  He retired five years ago.

 

On Sept. 11, 1911, he was married to Kate Schiszik, who survives him.  Also surviving are four sons, Laurence, Floyd, LaVerne, and Harvey of Curtiss; four daughters, Mrs. Emil (Ellen) Uhlig of Curtiss, Mrs. Alvin (Laura) Uhlig of Abbotsford, Mrs. Paul (Alvina( Eckert of Sherwood and Mrs. Louis (Doris) Hartl of Unity; one sister, Mrs. Glen Schwandt of Curtiss; 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

 

Ralph Johnson, minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses, officiated.  Mr. Andrew Knopp accompanied his wife who sang "Jehovah My Good Shepherd: and "God’s Righteous Requirement."

 

Pallbearers were grandsons, Delbert Uhlig, Alfred Uhlig, Robert Uhlig, Adrian Strom, Norbert Hartl and Dale Ellison.

 

Relatives from away attending were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ellison, Milwaukee; Mr.a nd Mrs. Adrian Strom, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Eckert, Sherwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Hartl, La Crosse.
