SPENCER LOCALS

 

Miss, Janet Johnson of Abbotsford was here Saturday.

 

Miss Mary Hanson went to Milwaukee Friday to spend a week.

 

Miss Icke of Marshfield spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Cross.

 

Roy Crawshaw went to Curtiss Saturday evening to spend several days hunting.

 

Mrs. Elizabeth Rear and granddaughter Leafa went to Park Falls Sunday to visit relatives.

 

Mrs. Kolstaof Milladore arrived Saturday to visit hir daughter, Mrs. F. A, Soles till Sunday.

 

Mrs. Ed. Matthes and two children went to Stevens Point Saturday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Mellenthin.

 

A dime social will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. Swan on Friday night. Music and light refreshments.  Everyone invited.

 

Albert Durkee was found dead in bed at his home in the town of Unity Monday night. Heart failure was the cause of his death, He is survived by a wife and two daughters.

 

Earl and John Campbell and George Davis came up from Wild Rose Thursday to visit and to hunt.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Norrie Hersey of Fond du Lac came Saturday evening to visit their cousins, Dr. and Mrs. F. A. Soles.

 

Mrs. Mason went to Athens Monday to visit her children who reside there. Her grand-daughter, Miss Gladys Mason of Athens, who has been visiting here has returned with her.

 

Friends of Mrs. Baxter of Knowlton received the news of her death last week.  She died Saturday, November 2 at the home of her daughter. She was past 80 years of age and had been failing the past few weeks. She was one of Spencer's earl residents but had lived at Knowlton for many years.
