Miller, Myrtle H. (1 July 1916 - 2 April 2011)

 

Myrtle H. Miller, 94, of Mount Horeb, formerly of Withee, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Ingleside Nursing Home in Mount Horeb.

 

Myrtle was born July 1, 1916, to Florine (White) and Henry Lipke in Neillsville.  She was a graduate of Neillsville High School.  Myrtle was joined in marriage to her husband, Armand Miller, Dec. 15, 1937, in Menomonie.  The two of them raised their family on their farm outside of Withee in the Town of Hixon.

 

Myrtle enjoyed tending to her garden, sewing and reading.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

 

She is lovingly survived by her children: Robert (Judy) Miller of Tucson, AZ, Richard (Sally) Miller of Verona, Jon (Marie) Miller of Durham, NC, Judy (Robert) Johnstone of Sun Prairie, Wayne (Silvia) Miller of Madison and Kristine (Paul) Zinda of Wausau; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

 

Myrtle is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Armand; her brother, Harold Lipke; and her sisters, Ann Keller, Rosie May and Mardy Opelt.

 

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen.  Rev. Kenneth A. Dix will officiate. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home in Owen.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Withee.
