Before an altar decorated with yellow chrysanthemums, Miss Lorene Hecker, given in marriage by her father, became the bride of Aloysius Devine Saturday morning, Oct 3 at a 9:30 ceremony in St Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal.

 

The Rev. Lawrence Devine, brother of the groom, was celebrant of the nuptial High Mass. He was assisted by the Rev. Norbert King, pastor of St. Anthony’s Church, Loyal, as deacon and the Rev. Philip Lienfelder, Blenker, as sub-deacon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Hecker, Loyal, are the bride’s parents, and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Devine of Shelby, Ohio, are the parents of the groom.

 

The bride chose a gown of white lace with a cathedral train.

 

A crown of beaded pearls held her veil of silk illusion. She carried a bouquet of gardenias and stephanotis.

 

For her matron of honor the bride chose her sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Studnicks, Milwaukee. For her bridesmaid she chose Miss Rosemary Devine, Toledo, Ohio, sister of the groom. Both wore ice-blue ballerina length gowns and carried bronze mums.

 

The bride’s mother wore a navy blue suit with rose accessories and the groom’s mother wore a suit of gray.

 

The groom’s aids were Patrick Gannon, Rice Lake, a former schoolmate, who was best man and Robert Hecker, Toledo, Ohio, brother of the bride, who was groomsman.The ushers were Richard Yanish, Milwaukee, and William Syring, Toledo, Ohio.

 

Sister M. Virginia was organist for the wedding rites and St. Anthony’s Church choir sang.

 

The bride, who is employed by Kimble Glass Company of Toledo, Ohio, is a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing, Wausau, and has done graduate work at the University of Wisconsin.

 

The groom. a member of the Law firm of Syring and Devine, Toledo, Ohio, is a graduate of Marquette University Law School.

 

Seventy guests attended dinner in St. Anthony’s Parish Hall and a reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents.

 

Out of town guests were from Toledo, Ohio, Wausau, Milwaukee, Curtis, Greenwood, Keil and Wisconsin Rapids.
