Lindgren, Roxann Sue (12 JUL 1958)

Portsmouth, N.H. will be the new home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Larson who were married at 2:00 o’clock Saturday, July 12, 1958, in the Alliance Church by the Rev. James Stone.  Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Axel Lindgren, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. Perry Larson, Curtiss.

The former Roxann Sue Lindgren chose Mrs. Robert Anderson as her matron of honor.  Mrs. Everett Lindgren, Huntsville, Ala., was bridesmaid, and Debra Larson and Marilee Joy Morschek were flower girls.

The attendants wore ballerina length gowns of taffeta with net and dotted Swiss overskirts.  The bouffant skirts were sashed at the waists with taffeta cummerbunds.  Their headpieces were heart shaped, with flowers to match the orchid in the matron of honor’s gown, and mint green fro the bridesmaid.  They carried colonial bouquets.  The flower girls wore dotted Swiss frocks in yellow and pink and carried baskets of roses and baby’s breath.

The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a ballerina length dress with a sweetheart neckline styling the bodice.  Tiers of nylon tulle cascaded down the sides of the skirt with Chantilly lace inserts down the front and back.  Lace and sequins comprised the headpiece which held her fingertip veil.  Red roses and white streamers formed her heart shaped bouquet.

Everett Lindgren was best man, with Lawrence Larson as groomsman.  Ushering the guests were Harold Utke, LeRoy Delack and Astin Larson.  Arlyn Mills sang "God Gave Me You" and "O Perfect Love."

A reception was held in the church parlors.  The couple are both graduates of the Owen-Withee High School, and the groom is currently in service.
