Staats, Linda Lou (Marriage - 28 October 1961)

In a double ring ceremony performed Saturday by the Rev. James Spindler in the First Baptist Church in Augusta, Miss Linda Lou Staats became the bride of Arden E. Bedward, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bedward of Rt. 2, Gilman. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Staats, Rt. 1, Willard.

For her wedding the bride was attired in a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and tulle.  The bouffant skirt was styled with tiers of tulle edged with lace. The fitted bodice was designed with long, tapered sleeves and a Queen Ann collar set in a lace yoke that extended into the fitted bodice; which was enhanced with sequins and seed pearls. A lace hat, edged with sequins, held her silk illusion fingertip veil edged with lace. She carried a bouquet of red and pink roses entwined with green.

Miss Barbara Ellen Staats was her maid of honor and Mavis Irene Bedward served as her bridesmaid. Ring bearer was Ralph Redman and Diane Gruhn served as flower girl.

Mr. and Mrs. Bedward, both graduates of Gilman High School, are residing on Rt. 1, Willard, where the groom works in a cheese factory. The bride is a waitress.
