Mr. and Mrs. Joe Urban, Sr., of Sturgeon Bay are spending a week at the homes of their sons, Robert and Joe, Jr.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Al Wilson and her mother are planning to hunt pleasant near Clark, S. D. next weekend.

 

The Rev. and Mrs. Jacob Borowsky and son Victor, visited the Rev. and Mrs. Vladimir Borowsky and Elizabeth Borowsky in Minneapolis last week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Karnitz and children visited at the Ed and Robert Karnitz homes in Barron last weekend.

 

Herbert Schroeder and Mrs. Juanita Strada, Chicago, Ill, returned home Monday after an overnight visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schroeder.

 

Mrs. Estella Dux and son, DeWayne, spent a few days last week in Minneapolis, Minn., as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Erickson.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Meier, Jr. and family, have rented the Herman Carl house in Pine Valley.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Borde, Edgerton, spent a few days this week visiting relatives here. They were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Meyer.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Grant Skallet, Black Earth, visited Sunday with Mrs. Lida Meyers at the Josie Bass home.

 

Mrs. Warren Huddleston and Mrs. Jack Thornton took a group of youth Fellowship members of the Methodist Church to Loyal Sunday for a rally. Three local people, Rev. Lloyd Mauer, Russell Drake and Miss Sherri Drescher, took part in a panel discussion in the afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Monteful and daughter, Portage, and Miss Eleanore DeMert, Kaukauna, were weekend guests of Oscar and Lawrence DeMert and their families.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Walter DeMert, Milwaukee, spent the weekend with their daughter, Mrs. Fritz Seelow and family.

 

Mrs. Elsie Grinde, Madison, was a guest one day last week at the A. J. Haugen home.

 

Leonard Braatz, Milwaukee, spent last week with his mother, Mrs. Edith Braatz. Weekend guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Jacobson, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Roberta Davis and Miss Arlene Gerhardt of Watertown.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Evanson spent Sunday in Mosinee with their son, Roland Evanson, and his family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hackett left Friday for Cedarburg after spending several days with Mrs. Harry Carl and family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Julius Markowski, Fox Lake, were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Edith Braatz.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dux of the Globe area visited Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Haugen. 

 

Mrs. Benjamin (Ella) Stucki has started duties of a house parent in the Winnebago Children’s Home.

 

Mrs. Laura Baumgartner visited relatives in Randolph last weekend.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence McKevitt of Sparta were weekend visitors at the Winnebago Children’s Home, where they were formerly employed.

 

The Rev. Mitchell Whiterabbit of the Winnebago Mission near Black River Falls visited the Children’s Home Friday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Rhoades and children visited her parents in Annandale, Minn., last weekend.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Svetlik and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Feuerstein attended a dedication service and banquet at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ellsworth Sunday.

 

Mrs. Leland Davis has returned home from a visit in White Bear Lake, Minn., where she was a guest of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Gullickson, and her family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Westphal of Milwaukee and sons spent the weekend with Mrs. Louise Stelloh.  Mr. Westphal and one of the boys returned home Sunday while Mrs. Westphal and the other son returned home in a few days.  Thursday, Mrs. Stelloh accompanied them to Milwaukee for a few days visit.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bennett and son of Lake Zurich, Ill., spent the weekend with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. M. L. Bennett.

 

Miss Carol Peterson returned Monday to Eau Claire to resume her teaching duties after spending the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Peterson.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Engstrom have moved into the former Neverman home which they recently purchased.

 

Miss Bernadine Peterson, Madison, was a weekend guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Peterson. She left Sunday for Madison and leaves this week for Manhattan, Kans., where she will be on the faculty at Kansas State University.

 

Art, George Henry and Charles Hubing and their sister, Mrs. Frank Root of Knowlton, have returned from a week’s visit with (ink smudge) Circle, Mont.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Randall of Fond du Lac are spending several days with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dahnert.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wallner and two daughters, Milwaukee, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Foote. They returned Sunday to Milwaukee with her father, Earl Miller, who with Mrs. Miller had been visiting here the last two weeks. Mrs. Miller, the former Mary Foote, remained to help care for her mother, who is convalescing form a fall.
