Arola, Anna (24 September 1878 - 6 October 1961)
Mrs. Matt Arola, 83, of Withee, died from old age complications at the Marshfield hospital, October 8.
Funeral services were held Monday from Bethany Lutheran Church in Owen, with the Rev. Carl G. Wilkman officiating.
Mrs. Arola was born Anna Takalo in Finland September 24, 1878. When 24 years old she came to America and settled in Republic, Mich. There she married Matt Arola in 1906, and in 1912 they settled on a farm near Owen where they lived until 1947, when they moved to Withee.
She had a son Daniel, of Withee who, with the husband, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, survive.
Mrs. Arola was a charter member of Bethany Lutheran Church and had many friends.
