Wolf, Joseph  (29 November 1880 - 11 September 1961)

 

Joseph Wolf, 80, of Greenwood died Monday in Neillsville.  He had been in poor health for the last two years.

 

Mr. Wolf, the son of Joseph and Anna (Brandtmier) Wolf, was born November 29, 1880, near Marshfield.  In 1917 he came to Greenwood.  He was married June 4, 1918, to Eva Enders in St. Mary’s Church in Greenwood.  Since their marriage they resided on their farm, five miles south of Greenwood.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.

 

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Mary) Bursaw of Minneapolis and Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Radue of Loyal; and two sons, Paul of Minneapolis and Lawrence, at home; a brother, Andrew of Chili; and two sisters, Mrs. Chet Lindsley and Mrs. Madaline Seymour, both of Marshfield; and eleven grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held last Thursday from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward Hartung officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Frank Reinhard, John Susa, Sr., Leonard and Gerald Denk, Joseph Kohlnhofer and Arnold Syth.
