Sapetta, Edmund (20 OCT 1886 - 19? MAR 1958)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday morning, March 22 at the Thorp Funeral Home for Mr. Edmund Sapetta, 71, who died at home in Lublin.  Rev. Stanley Tyburski, pastor of St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church, officiated, with Rev. Casimir Hess assisting.

 

Pallbearers were Martin Novak, Donald Hutman, John Jormoluk, Arlie Thompson, Richard Gura and James Bonczkiewicz.

 

Edmund Sapetta, who had been ill for the past year, was born Oct. 20, 1886 in Poland and came to the United States in 1902.  He settled in the Maplehurst vicinity called Redville, and operated a farm.  He was married to Victoria Margiewicz in 1920.  She passed away a year ago.

 

In 1952 he moved to Lublin to retire.

 

Survivors are four daughters, Helen and Josephine Sapetta of Chicago, Ill.; Wanda, Mrs. Chester Bochnia of Niles, Mich.; Louise, Mrs. Bruno Parnewicz of Maplehurst, and four grandchildren.  Also surviving is a brother, Felix, of Eau Claire.

 

Out of town relatives and friends who attended services were Mrs. Chester Bochnia and daughter of Niles, Mich.; Josephine Sapetta of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Felix Sapetta and family of Eau Claire; Mrs. Tom Hines of Wausau; Mr. Dylak and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Zawislou and daughters of Mosinee; Mrs. Sophie Laniewski and son of Chippewa Falls.
