Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bord have returned from a honeymoon in Northern Wisconsin and are now living in Wisconsin Rapids.

 

Rose Marie Weyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Weyer, Loyal, and Donald Bord, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bord, were married in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, Saturday morning, September 19, with a double ring ceremony at a 9:30 nuptial high mass. The Rev. N. E. King officiated.

 

The bride was given in marriage by her father, chose to wear her sister Ann’s wedding dress of all satin. Her finger-tip lace-edged veil was attached to an all-satin head piece. She carried a spray of white carnations.

 

Miss Mary Weix of Merrill served her friend as maid of honor, gowned in orchid net over taffeta and wearing gauntlets which matched her gown. She carried a spray of yellow carnations.

 

Richard Bord, Wisconsin Rapids, brother of the groom, was best man, and Richard Weyer, brother of the bride, and Thomas Bord, brother of the groom, ushered.

 

The bride’s mother wore a costume of navy blue and a yellow and white pom pom corsage.

 

The wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents. Dinner and supper were served in the church parlors and a reception held in Braun’s hall.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal high school land St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, Marshfield. The groom is a graduate of Lincoln high school, Wisconsin Rapids. Both are employed at Consolidated Water Power Paper Co., Wisconsin Rapids.

 

Guests were in attendance from Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, Waukesha, Vesper, Auburndale and Loyal.
