Denk, Caroline (Marriage - 12 August 1961)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Caroline Ann Denk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Denk, Greenwood, and Thomas Roman Annen, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Annen, Loyal.  The Rev. Fr. Edward Hartung performed the double ring ceremony before an altar adorned with bouquets of pink and white gladioli.

For her wedding the bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length gown of lace and satin. The skirt, styled with tiers of lace, fell in a chapel train. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and long, fitted sleeves and her lace fingertip veil was attached to a crown of pearls. She carried a garland style bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Mrs. Sandra Denk, a sister-in-law of Milwaukee, was her matron-of-honor. Miss Corrine Denk, and Mildred Denk, sisters of the bride, and Deborah Annen the groom’s sister, were bridesmaids.

John Annen of St. Paul, Minn., served his brother as bestman. Groomsmen were Romaine Denk, Milwaukee, Larry Reuth, Loyal, and John Pink, Lancaster. Bobby Denk and Joe Pink ushered.

Nuptial music was played by Wayne Seefeldt.

One hundred guests attended a wedding dinner, and a reception was held attended by 350 guests.

On their return from a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Michigan, Mr. and Mrs. Annen will reside at 1000A S. Cherry St., Marshfield.
