Victims of a fiery truck-convertible accident near Durand shortly before 10 p.m. Monday which took the lives of four, two Thorp area men will be buried in separate services today and Friday.

The men were trapped in the cab of the Wiernasz truck as it burned after the crash.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. today (Thursday) for John Wiernasz, 41 year old father of six children and well known Thorp area livestock dealer. The services will be held from St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. George Becker officiating.  Burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

The father of six, Wiernasz was the son of Mrs. Angeline Wiernasz of Thorp, and the brother of Ben of Thorp and Frank of Racine.  Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lyle Asselin and Mrs. Richard Gac, both of Thorp.
