Janesville Settlement (20 July 1961)

 

Mrs. Henry Nielsen was hostess to the Stir and Sew Homemakers Wednesday evening. Election of officers was held.  Mrs. Don Tieman, Jr., was elected president; Mrs. Edward Sloniker, vice president; Mrs. Harold Dillenbeck, secretary and treasurer; and Mrs. Henry Nielsen, Sunshine fund.  Mrs. Henry Nielsen gave a lesson on safety in Driving.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Celar of Chicago are spending their vacation here with his mother, Mrs. L. Celar, and with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Celar and Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Barr.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Hatton and daughter, Eva, and Mrs. C. L. Meyers of Cannon AFB, Clovis, N. M., came last Monday to see his brother, Don, who is a patient at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis and to visit their parents, the Clark Hattons, and with Mrs. Meyers’ daughter, Mrs. John Baughman and family. They spent Saturday and Sunday on their way home with Mr. and Mrs. Craig Asplin of Lena, Ill.

 

Pamela Steiger of Greenwood spent several days with Nancy and Karen Arch.

 

Mrs. Paul Marg of Eau Claire spent Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Fred Barr in Greenwood, and called at the Jake and Fred Barr homes.
