Fenner, Grace  (23 May 1953)

Nuptial vows were repeated by Grace V. Fenner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fenner, Loyal, and Richard A. Reineking, son of Mrs. A. G. Reineking, Spencer, at a service performed at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 23, in the Loyal Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert Trobaugh of Marshfield was the officiating clergyman.

The bride wore a ballerina length gown, with a bodice of chantilly type lace, closed down the front with tiny taffeta covered buttons and styled with a peter-pan collar and long sleeves extending to points at the wrist. A full net skirt over taffeta featured lace panels. A finger-tip veil of imported silk illusion, edged with chantilly type lace, was caught to a white taffeta headdress, trimmed with lace and pearls. She carried a bouquet of red roses and stephanotis.

Mrs. John Olson, Loyal, the bride’s sister as matron of honor, wore a gown styled like that of the bride in maize color and Miss Pauline Reineking, Marshfield, sister of the groom, wore a gown of nile green similarly styled. Both bouquets were arrangements of red carnations and both wore lace mitts and bonnets of taffeta to match their gowns.

The bride’s mother and the groom’s mother each wore a navy blue dress and a corsage of pink carnations and roses.

John Reineking, Milwaukee, served his brother as best man, and William Reineking, Milwaukee, brother of the groom attended as groomsman.

Eugene Fenner, brother of the bride, and Mrs. Larry Krueger, Wausau, sister of the groom, ushered.

Miss Jane Andrews, Spencer, sang, "Oh Promise Me" and "God Gave Me You" accompanied by Mrs. Byron Zepplin at the organ.

The chancel of the church was decorated with baskets of apple blossoms.

Seventy guests attended the reception in the church parlors. Decorations were baskets of apple blossoms, and the tables were decorated with spring flowers and candles, the bride’s table being centered with the bride’s cake, which was made by Mrs. Olson, sister of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School and has been employed at the Citizens State Bank in Loyal. The groom is a farmer, and after they return from a honeymoon spent in the West, they will be at home on a farm near Spencer.
