Loyal Wisconsin High School (Spring Concert - 8 May 1961)

 

The Loyal High School music department presented its annual spring concert Monday evening in the high school auditorium. The 58-member band presented nine numbers.  During "Military Escort", majorettes Audrey Olsen, Paula Davel and Vikki Gerdes, performed twirling routines.  Guest Conductor William Chambers of Granton High School led the band in "Officer of the Day," March. Soloists were Marilyn Noeldner, Richard Fehenz, Kristine Noeldner, Mary Schultz, Beatrice Noeldner, Barbara Faber, Robert Dux, Judy Zettler, La Monte Johnston, Cynthia Theisen, Joyce Wolter and Marleen Brenner.  Student conductor for the "Zouaves" march was Cynthia Theisen.

 

The Girl’s Glee Club sang four numbers and in the one number, "The Ash Grove," Judy Zettler was the student conductor.  Accompanist was Alan Stark

 

The high school choir of 65 voices presented five numbers. Student conductor for the song, "Barefoot," was Marilyn Noeldner.  Accompanist was Julie Anne Vajgrt.

 

Vern Dahlby, head of the music department, directed all three groups.
