Meyer, Veronica #3 (20 NOV 1894 - 2 FEB 1955)

 

Mrs. Leo Meyer, 60, died at 12:25 Wednesday morning, Feb. 2, 1955, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been a patient for a week.  She had been in ill health  for several Months.

 

Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Norbert King officiating.  Burial was in the parish cemetery.

 

Mrs. Meyer, formerly Veronica Kilbourn, was born Nov. 20, 1894, in Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) , where she lived all her life.  She attended school in Loyal and was graduated from the Loyal High School in 1913.  In June 1920, she was married to leo Meyer.  Mr. Meyer died Feb. 27, 1953.

 

Mrs. Meyer was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and its Altar Society.  She was also a member of the local American Legion Auxiliary.  She was employed at the Loyal Post Office from 1943 to 1953.

 

She is survived by a son, Allen Meyer, a daughter, Mrs. Milton Knack, her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Kilbourn, and a granddaughter, Kristine, all of Loyal; and a sister, mrs. Harvey (Clara) Voight, Wauwatosa.  Two brothers preceded her in death.

 

Pallbearers were Percy Voight, Max Langfeldt, Richard Miles, William Meyer, James Christenson and Matt Beaver.

 

Out of town people who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Voight and Mrs. Joseph Brunke and son, Wauwatosa; Miss Jane Schellinger, Milwaukee; Mrs. Kate Emerson, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Emerson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Pantsar, and Harold Andraska, Wis. Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Andraska and Kathy, Park Falls; Peter Christman, Hortonville; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sayles, Wausau; Earl Young, Melrose; and Charles Esselman and son, Chippewa Falls.
