Pine Valley Township (13 April 1961)

 

Pine Valley Homemakers will meet April 19, at the home of Mrs. Paul Haugen in Neillsville. The program will be on traffic safety.  Election of officers will be held.  Mrs. Bernard Dodte is in charge of the program.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Yndogliato observed their wedding anniversary Friday evening. Guest included Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Brown, Mrs. Murel Mott, Legare Apfel, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sollberger.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ackerman entertained at dinner and supper Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Anderegg of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Hrach and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hrach.

 

Lois and Agnes Mohr of St. Paul visited Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mohr and family and Mrs. Chris Mohr last weekend.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Novak and children of Bruce Mound visited Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mohr Friday evening.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Swenddal and three children of Rice Lake visited Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dodte last weekend. Mr. Swenddal returned home Sunday evening and his family remained for a week’s visit.

 

Dr. Darrel Sharp and daughter, Sidney of Mondovi were weekend visitors at the Bernard Dodte home.

 

Bill Appleyard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Appleyard, spent last week at Las Alamos naval base in Texas, where he visited former navy friends in the atomic energy section.

 

Jo Anne Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Baker, was selected at Eau Claire College for a five-day tour of Wisconsin, Illinois and Missouri with the college band and chorus.  Jo Anne sang soprano with the chorus. The group returned April 9.

 

The Rev. Jacob Borowsky of Pine Valley announces that he is now serving the American-Greek Orthodox Church under the supervision of Metropolitan Bishop Bohdan of New York City.

 

Elizabeth Borowsky of Minneapolis visited her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Jacob Borowsky, and brother, Victor last weekend.
