Krueger, Henry (12 JUL 1898 - 27 OCT 1962)

Henry Krueger, 64, died at his home Saturday morning, Oct. 27, 1962, after a prolonged illness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church at 2 p.m., followed by interment in Green Grove Cemetery.  The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home until noon Tuesday, when it was taken to the church.

The Rev. F. H. Sprengler conducted the services during which Miss Dorothy Kieser and Mrs. James Daellenbach sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Asleep in Jesus."

The pallbearers were Howard Kramer, Alvin Krekau, Clarence Mueller, Clarence Nelson, Oscar Schauer and Edwin Weideman.

Henry Krueger was born July 12, 1898 in the town of Green Grove and was educated in the Woodland School.  He and Miss Edna Laabs were united in marriage Feb. 19, 1925, in Colby.

They farmed in the town of Green Grove until 1922 when they moved to Abbotsford.  Mr. Krueger also worked for a number of years at Kennedy’s Grocery Store.

Eight years ago, Mr. Krueger suffered a heart attack and his death Saturday was caused by a coronary occlusion.

He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church.

Surviving him are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Lucille) Raymond, Wausau; Mrs. Lawrence A(Adeline) Barfknecht) , Marshfield; Mrs. DeLyle (Darlene) Singstock, Abbotsford; and one son, Darell, at home.

There are nine grandchildren.  He also leaves one brother, Hugh Krueger, Curtiss.

Relatives from away who attended the funeral came from Chicago, Waukesha, Eagle, Janesville, Sheboygan, Newton, Oshkosh, Marshfield, Wausau, Schofield, Owen, Curtiss, Dorchester, Mukwonaga, Rice lake, Cameron, Unity, Colby and vicinity.
