Kraus, Mary Ellen (26 November 1945 - 6 February 2011)

 

Mary Ellen Krauss, 65, of Ellsworth died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at Fairview Red Wing Hospital.

 

She was born Nov. 26, 1945, in Red Wing to George and Neva (Budewitz) Krauss.  She attended St. Francis School and grew up on the family farm.  Mary Ellen lived at home until her mother, Neva, could no longer care for her.  Mary Ellen had a great sense of humor, the sense of cleverness and he ability of endearing herself o many people.  She loved going on outings with her Brotoloc family, working at Pro-Act in Red Wing, her trips to Disney, Graceland and Branson and eating out.  She especially loved ketchup sandwiches, chocolate ice cream and doing crafts, especially latch-hooking.

 

She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth.

 

Mary Ellen is survived by her sister, Kay (Gary) Weirauch of Neillsville, and brother, Jon Krauss of Ellsworth.

 

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Gary and Fred.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth. Fr. Roy Witucki will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Thursday at the Church.
