Gretzner, Alvina  (10 OCT 1884-02 FEB 1953)

 

Mrs. Adolph Gretzner, 68, died at her home at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening, February 2. Although she underwent surgery in December, her health was not improved and in the weeks was not improved and in the weeks since, she has been ill at her home.

 

Alvina Luther was born in the township of Loyal, October 10, 1884. She was married to Adolph Gretzner, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, October 28, 1903. She has lived in the vicinity of Loyal all of her life, and all of her married life was spent on the same farm. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of Trinity Aid since 1929.

 

She is survived by her husband, and three daughters, Mrs. Eric (Gladys) Schultz, of North Fond du Lac; Mrs. Arthur (Eva) Wolfe, and Mrs. Albert (Violet) Haslow, Loyal. There are eight grandchildren. She is also survived by six brothers, Adolph Luther, Spencer; Otto Luther, Marshfield; Emil Luther, Heafford Junction; Frank Luther, Zurich, Montana; Martin Luther, Portland, Oregon; and John Luther, Wausau, and by two sisters Mrs. Otto (Martha) Schwann, and Mrs. Albert (Lena) Foelske, Loyal. One sister preceded Mrs. Gretzner in death.

 

The funeral will be in Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. Friday, and burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. E. E. Aalto will officiate. The body is lying in state at the Myre Funeral Home.
