Prock, Caroline Treva (Marriage - 11 February 1961)

Wedding vows were exchanged Saturday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Neillsville by Miss Caroline Treva Prock, Neillsville, and Eugene Harold O’Brien of West Allis. The Rev. Fr. Joseph Eisenmann performed the double-ring ceremony of the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Prock, 1710 Black River Rd., Neillsville, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold O’Brien, 1708 S. 70th St. West Allis. Two hundred forty guests witnessed the ceremony.

The bride given in marriage by her father, was attired in a gown of hand-clipped Chantilly lace over delustered satin.  A Basque style, fitted bodice was complemented with a portrait neckline trimmed with pearls and sequins. The long, fitted sleeves, coming to a point on the hand, were buttoned at the wrists.  A chapel train cascaded from the full bouffant skirt appliquéd with lace over all.  A crescent bouquet of white hyacinths and ivy, centered with pink sensation roses created her bridal bouquet.

Attending as matron-of-honor was Mrs. Maynard Prock.  Bridesmaid was Miss Pat Zabler, a cousin of the groom.  Both wore street length dresses of peacock blue velvet, with matching headpieces. They carried outline hearts of lace with pink sweetheart roses.

Little Tammy Mazola, cousin of he bride, was flower girl. She wore a dress styled identically to that of the bride, and carried a miniature bouquet.  Steven Walk, another cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

Maynard Prock, Bettendorf, Ia., was bestman, and Jerry O’Brien, Milwaukee, was his brother’s groomsman. Guests were ushered by Jack O’Brien, West Allis, and Albert Mazola, Neillsville.

Music was sung by the St. Mary’s School choir, accompanied at the organ by Sister Mary Enrico.

One hundred sixty seven guests attended a reception at the bride’s home, which was decorated with white and turquoise streamers, white wedding bells, and pink carnations.  One hundred-ten guests attended a wedding dinner.

On their return from a wedding trip the couple will reside at 4858 N 54th St. Milwaukee.

Both are graduates of Neillsville High School and have been employed in Milwaukee.
