Lynn Township (9 September 1938)

 

Mrs. W. Johnson and daughters of Auburndale spent the weekend here with relatives.

 

M r. C. Weisner entertained a number of relatives and friends in honor of her birthday, Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lindow and family spent Sunday at Hatfield.

 

Mrs. Dora Pendergraff and daughter Dorothy of Portland, Ore., were guests of Mrs. Gus Hahm and other relatives Thursday.

 

Mrs. Martha Ure and Mrs. L. Rash went to Winona, Monday.  Mrs. Ure returned home again that day.  Mrs. Rash remained to visit relatives.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Helm are visiting relatives at Milwaukee, West Bend, and Forest Junction, since last week.

 

The Misses Ruth, Dorothy Stern and Norman Stern, Madison and Milton Johnson of Kenosha, spent Monday until Friday with the Herman Hasz family.

 

Miss Verna Happe was among those that attended the funeral of Wesley Happe at Ripon Sunday.

 

Quite a number from here attended the shower given for Lila Tjaden and Ed Seehafer at Bakerville.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dix and son, spent Sunday with the John Altenburg family.

 

Willa Beecher and son, Edmund of Janesville, spent Saturday night with the former’s sister, Miss Lula Beecher, enroute to Tomahawk for a few days outing.

 

Miss Marian Schoengarth returned Friday from several weeks visit with friends at Fredric.

 

Miss Glyde Graves, who spent the summer in Colorado, left for Fifield for a short visit with her mother Mrs. B. Hayden, and then continued to Hiles, where she will teach school this year.

 

Mrs. William Young and daughter, Dorothy, returned home Saturday night from two week’s visit with relatives at Osseo.

 

Mrs. Jesse Davis, Racine, is a guest at the Dr. R. R. Rath home, where she will spend two weeks.

 

Betty Davis, Stevens Point, was guest of honor at a picnic dinner Friday in the Dopp Park.  Those who attended, all schoolmates when Betty attended the Granton School, were Doris Winn, Betty Osgood, Virginia Mallory, Dorothy Nowack, Maxine Walleck and Marian and Ruth Spry.
