Wilson, Diane C. (30 SEP 1961)

After Oct. 15 Mr. and Mrs. John W. Horvath will be at home at Fox Lake.

The marriage of Miss Diane C. Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John O. Wilson of Medford, and John W. Horvath of Fox Lake, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Horvath Sr. of Hannibal, took place Sept. 30, 1961 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Donald.  The Rev. John J. Diturko? performed the ceremony at 1 o’clock.

The bride wore an ivory brocaded taffeta floor length gown with a chapel train and three-quarter length sleeves.  She carried a heart shaped arrangement of yellow pompons, stephanotis, centered by a large white orchid.  A rhinestone trimmed tiara held her fingertip veil.

Attending the couple were Miss Helen Horvath of Hannibal, John (Jack) Gabel of Gilman, Miss Judy Wilson and Duane (Pinky) Wilson of Medford, and Mr. and Mrs. Arno Fasse of Athens.  Dale Barkow and Jerry Welch ushered.

The bride’s attendants were all dressed alike in red peau de soie street length dresses with three-quarter length sleeves and high neckline, coming to a V at the back.  They had matching pillbox hats and white accessories.  They carried bouquets of red and white feathered carnations.

About a hundred guests attended the reception and supper, served at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford High School and former employee at the Abbotsford Variety Store.  She attended the Milwaukee School of Beauty Culture at Eau Claire.  Prior to her marriage, she was employed at Mueller’s drug Store in Medford.

Mr. Horvath, a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering, also attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison.  He is an electrician and is employed by Uptown Electrical Co. on the new state correctional institution at Fox Lake.
