Fults, Myrtle #2 (1 JAN 1884 - 4 SEP 1961)

 

Mrs. Walter Fults, 77, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Monday morning at her home.  Her husband died Aug. 18.

 

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the First Presbyterian Church at Abbotsford and burial was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

 

The Rev. Wallace Smith of Edgar officiated at the rites, during which Mrs. Smith sang "Near to the Heart of God: and "The Lord is my Shepherd."  Miss Jackie Scheel was the organist.

 

Pallbearers were Kenneth Anderson and Gordon Knight of Abbotsford, Kenneth A. Anderson of Superior, Robert Anderson of Oxford, Douglas Fults of Chippewa Falls and Bill Geary of Markesan.

 

Mrs. Fults, the former Myrtle Heagle, was born at Seymour Jan. 1, 1884.  She received her education at Thorp and taught school there for several years.  She and Walter Fults were married on June 14, 1905, and farmed in the Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) area until 1927, when they came to Abbotsford where Mr. Fults was engaged in the oil business.

 

Mrs. Fults was a member of the Presbyterian Women’s Association, the Abbotsford Woman’s Club and the Royal Neighbors of America.

 

Surviving her are two sons, James of Stanley and Arthur of Colby.  There are eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  She also leaves a brother, Royal Heagle of Stanley.

 

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by an only daughter, and one son, five brothers and three sisters.
