Mueller, Mr./Mrs. Frank (Gold - 12 AUG 1961)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mueller celebrated the 50th anniversary of their marriage Saturday, Aug. 12, 1961.

 

Festivities of the day included a dinner at Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church Hall at Dorchester, followed by a gathering of relatives and friends at the Mueller home on North Second St.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Mueller were both born in Hungary in 1888, but met after their arrival in Chicago.  Their marriage took place there and they made their home there until his retirement in 1950, after which they traveled about the U.S. before settling in Abbotsford.

 

The Muellers have three children, Mrs. Emil Outland, St. Paul; Frank P. Mueller, Chicago; and Mrs. Ralph Thayer, San Francisco, Calif.

 

They have three grandchildren, Candace and Roxanne Thayer and Mrs. Ronald Schultz of Mankato, Minn. and one great grandson, Ronnie Schultz.

 

Mr. Mueller has three brothers and two sisters.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Thayer and children were unable to attend the celebration because of illness in the family.

 

Guests at the golden anniversary celebration included Mr. and Mrs. Emil Outland, St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Mueller, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Oster, Mrs. Ohlinger and son, the Rev. Frank Ohlinger, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Schultz and son, Mankato, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mueller, Eagle River; Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Zak, Dorchester; and Mr. and Mrs. William Schneider and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Witt, Abbotsford.
