Parkhill, Ella A. #2 (17 JUL 1890 - 10 JUL 1961)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Parkhill, 70, who died Monday, were held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock at the Polnaszek Funeral Home.  The Rev. Wallace Smith of the First Presbyterian Church of Edgar officiated at the rites.

 

During the services, Miss Joan Pautz sang "Beyond the Sunset," with Miss Jackie Scheel as accompanist.

 

Burial was made in the town of Holton Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Melvin Bremer, Albert Busse, William Kalepp, Arnold Laack, Louis Mauritz and Ben Merwin.

 

Mrs. Parkhill was born Ella Amanda Yanke, July 17, 1890.  She was married to Frank Parkhill Feb. 2, 1910, at Dorchester.  After their marriage they lived in Abbotsford, Ashland and Kaukauna.  Five years ago Mrs. Parkhill moved to Abbotsford and due to ill health, four years ago, she became a resident of the Bethel Convalescent Home, where her death occurred.

 

Mrs. Parkhill was a member of the Lady Trainmen Lodge.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1941.  An infant daughter and three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

 

Surviving her are two brothers, Otto Yanke of Ontonagon, Mich., and Fred Yanke of Dayton, Ohio, and Miss Anna Yanke of Dorchester.

 

Mrs. Parkhill was a sister-in-law of Mrs. M. C. Bunnell and an aunt of Mrs. Harold Kalepp.

 

Among the relatives from away who were here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Yanke of Ontonagon, Mich., Miss Anna Yanke and Mrs. John Bernard Patrick, Racine.
