Fisher, Arthur B. (3 JAN 1910 - 5 NOV 1952)

 

Arthur B. Fisher, 42, 716 N. Cedar Ave., Marshfield, died at 6 p.m. last Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was admitted there Tuesday and had been in poor health for the past 18 months.

 

Mr. Fisher, who at one time operated Art’s Shell Service located on N. Central Ave. for two years, was born Jan. 3, 1910, in the Town of Sherman, Clark County.  He received his education the rural schools.

 

He moved to Marshfield in 1930 and before going into business for himself, was employed as a truck driver for the Lloyd L. Felker Co.

 

His marriage to the former Margaret Schneeweis took place Nov. 28, 1936, in St. John’s Church here.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society.

 

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. John’s Catholic Church.  The Very Rev. Hugh J. Deeny officiated and burial was in Hillside Cemetery.

 

Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife, a son, Peter, 14; four daughters, Mary Ann, 13, Diane, 8, Christine, 5, and Joan, five montsh; three brothers, Martin, Spencer, and Wilbur and Eldon, Wis. Rapids; and a sister, Mrs. Bert Draves, Milwaukee.

 

A son, Arthur, who died in infancy, a brother, Eldor, and his parents preceded him in death.
