Podobnik, Berne J. (19 FEB 1952)

 

Berne Jean Podobnik of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Podobnik of Loyal, became the bride of Anthony Zupanc of Loyal.  He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zupanc of Willard.

 

The ceremony was performed Tuesday morning, Feb. 19th, 1952, at 9 o’clock at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.  The officiating clergyman was Rev. Norbert King.

 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a lavender wool twist suit with a pink floral bonnet.  She carried a white prayer book and a bouquet of white orchids and hyacinth blossoms with white streamers.  The bride, chose her parents 25th anniversary as her wedding day.

 

Maid of honor was Mrs. Edward Frei of Loyal.  She wore a pink gabardine suit with white accessories and carried a nosegay of white carnations.

 

Best man was Edward Frei of Loyal, a friend of the groom.

 

A 12 o’clock dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents, and a reception was held at 4:30.

 

The bride’s mother wore a dress of navy blue, and the groom’s mother’s dress was green floral print.  Both wore corsages of pink camellias.

 

The bride’s table had a large three tiered wedding cake decorated with light yellow roses and a miniature bride and groom.

 

A two tiered cake decorated the table of the bride’s parents.  It was trimmed with white roses and silver leaves and topped with an ornament.

 

The bride attended Greenwood schools and Adele Bollon School f Cosmetology, while the groom attended schools in Willard and various vocational schools.  The groom is the Ford dealer at Loyal, and the bride has been employed at Emma’s Beauty Shop.

 

After returning from their honeymoon they will be at home to their friends in Loyal.  Guests who attended the wedding were from Willard, Greenwood, Loyal, Abbotsford, and Unity.
