Wegner, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur (45th - 14 October 1960)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wegner of Seif were surprised by relatives and friends Friday evening on their 45th wedding anniversary.  Mr. and Mrs. Wegner were married October 14, 1915, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe. The Rev. Herman Brandt, then pastor of the Neillsville Church officiated.  They have made their home on the same farm since their marriage.

 

They have two children, Doris Struble of Neillsville, and Clarence Wegner of Seif.  They have been very active in community, church, town and county affairs.  Mr. Wegner served many years as chairman of the Town of Seif, on the community school board, president of the Globe Lutheran Church, director and treasurer of the Clark County Fair Association, and director of the Neillsville Bank.

 

Present Friday evening were: Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wegner and family; Doris Struble, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stelloh, Mrs. Dan Gluch of Neillsville; Mrs. Josephine Thiede of Marshfield; Mrs. Paul Stephan of Elgin, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuenkel of Hendren; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marg and Mrs. Tillie Modersohn of Globe.  The guests brought a luncheon.
