Herrick, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Herrick (58th - 26 July 1960)

The 58th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Herrick, Sr., will be held this weekend at their home in the Town of Mead, near Willard.  A two-day celebration will be climaxed by a dinner Sunday noon.

Anna Pintar and Jack Herrick were married in Mineral, Kans., July 26, 1902, where they remained until 1914, when they moved to Clark County and settled on a 150-acre farm. They have lived there for the last 46 years.

Thirteen children were born to them. All are living, and 10 will be at the celebration this weekend.  They also have 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Unable to attend the ceremony will be their sons, Edward of Fort Worth, Tex., and Joe of Newfoundland; and a daughter, Mrs. David (Eva) Hallowell of Barstow, Calif.

Planning to attend are: Mr. and Mrs. Cletus (Joan) Susa and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Herrick and family and Mr. and Mrs. Florian Herrick and family, all of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Herrick of Willard; Mr. and Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Hawley and son, Brian, Milwaukee; Mrs. Ann Petkovsek of Peoria, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Dean (Frances) Murphy and children of Marshall, Ill.;  Mr. and Mrs. Jack Herrick, Jr. and son Jackie, of Stillwater, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Oliver (Donna) Smith and children of St. Paul; and Mr. and Mrs. Earl (Mary) Holmes of Studio City, Calif.

A granddaughter, Mrs. Willard Wendt, with her husband and daughters of Hastings, Minn., also will attend.

Jack Herrick was born in Yugoslavia July 25, 1878, and came to America in 1900. Anna Pintar was born in Yugoslavia April 23, 1885, and came to America in 1901 to join her girlhood sweetheart. They were married the following year.

No formal open house is planned, but neighbors and friends will be received by Mr. and Mrs. Herrick at their home Sunday afternoon.
