Roehl, Delma V. (1927 - 18 DEC 2010)

 

Delma V. (Stuhr) Roehl, 83, formerly of Chili, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the Marshfield Care Center. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield. A time of visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home Tuesday. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery.

Delma was born in Stratford, the daughter of William and Mayme (Hopfensperger) Stuhr. She attended Stratford Country Schools and was employed as a nurse's aide at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital. On April 25, 1946 the former Delma Stuhr was united in marriage to Carl Roehl. The couple farmed for many years in the Chili area. They celebrated 64 happy years together this past April.

Mrs. Roehl enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and baking. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her beautiful needlework.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Carl Roehl; daughter, Carol (William) Braatz; three grandchildren, William (Michelle) Braatz, Brian (Reneé) Braatz, and Michael Braatz; four great-grandchild, Evan, Lauren, Sydnee, and Michael; and siblings, Eleanor, Margaret, Mildred, and Leona. Delma is further survived by many nieces, nephews, as well as many other family and friends. She will truly be missed.

Her parents, William and Mayme; as well as two brothers, Harold and Ervin; all preceded Delma in death.
