Riverside (21 July 1960)

 

Oscar and Gene Loos have returned from Arlington, Va., where they spent about two weeks following the death of Mr. Loos’ son, Joe.  Mrs. Loos remained for a longer visit with Mrs. Joe Loos and children. Gene will return to his army duties in Alaska the first of the month.

 

Fern Horn, dean of home economics at Stout State College, Menomonie, spent the weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Horn.

 

Raphael Gorst and Elmer Horn were delegates to the American Legion State convention at Green Bay, July 15, 16, and 17.

 

Mrs. Ray Otto of Kaukauna visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Prust, Tuesday.  Her children, Billy and Steve, returned home with her after spending a month in the John and Robert Prust and Emil Masephol homes, while Mr. and Mrs. Otto were on a vacation trip to California.  Sharon remained for a longer visit in the Robert Prust home.

 

Members in the area attended the King’s Couples picnic of the E. U. B. church Sunday at north Wood County Park.  The Youth Fellowship groups also had a cookout there.

 

John Cain came over from Camp McCoy and spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Manford Cain.

 

Dinner and supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Doehr Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Menger, Mr. and Mrs. Don Bersell an Gary, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Wundrow and Carol and Russel Lang.  Afternoon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wagle, Lucy and Dean of Watertown.
