(Marriage - 1960)

Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville uniting in marriage Miss Nancy Lou Kuehn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Kuehn of Neillsville, and Adrian E. Hubing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Hubing, also of Neillsville.  The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Joseph Eisenmann before an altar decorated with white and blue flowers.

The bride approached the altar in a floor length gown of nylon tulle over taffeta.  It has a scalloped Sabrina neckline trimmed with rhinestones. The fitted bodice and long, fitted sleeves were of Chantilly lace.  The full bouffant skirt had panels of Chantilly lace and rhinestone trim.  A crown of seed pearls and rhinestones held the fingertip veil of imported illusion tulle.  She carried a bouquet of roses, with ivy.

Matron of honor was Mrs. John Gregorich of Madison.  The bridesmaid was Mrs. Roger Grottke of Neillsville.  Both were dressed in ballerina-length white nylon, with blue embroidered side panels and blue cummerbunds tied in a large bow in the back.  They carried baskets of blue fringed carnations.

The groom chose for best man his brother-in-law, John Gregorich of Madison.  The ushers were Delano Hubing and Glen Suckow.

Dinner was served immediately following the wedding ceremony for relatives, and a reception was held at the American Legion Hall at 2:30 p.m.  A dance was held that evening.

The young couple will honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, after which they will make their home on East Division Street, Neillsville.

Guests from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hart and family of California; Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Smith, Mrs. Lawrence Rosenstock and children of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Rimer and Sally of New Era, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. L. Kuehn, Mrs. C. Bruley, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Johnson of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lentz of Oxford; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kernz and family of Marshfield; and other relatives were present from Cashton, Coon Valley, Rockland, Athens, Greenwood, Loyal, Merrillan and Madison.
