Greenwood, Wisconsin Briefs (9 June 1960)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Carteron spent Sunday at Waupaca.  On their return they were accompanied by their son, Ronnie; also Ronnie Kocher, Paul Ampe Jr., and Dennis Syth, who has spent the weekend at the Blessed Sacrament seminary there.

 

The sixth birthday of Jeffrey Jasurda was celebrated Monday afternoon at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jasurda.

Mr. and Mrs. William Steiger, Theodore Humke, Mrs. Ella Steiger and Mrs. Fred Timmler attended the funeral of the latter’s uncle Jake Steiger, held in La Crosse on Saturday.

 

Miss Hester Williams arrived Thursday from Appleton for a visit with her mother, Mrs. Rollin Williams, and with her sisters, Mrs. Donald Berthold, Mrs. Alvin Kippenhan and Mrs. Frank Briski, and their families and at Thorp with her brother, Dewey Williams and family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Toburen and children, Judy, Karen, Ray and Billy, Carol Severson and Corinne Liebzeit enjoyed an outing Sunday at Rib Mountain at Wausau.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Meinholdt and daughter, Ida Gene, left Friday for Onawa, Ia., where they attended the wedding of Belva Fleck and Robert Mustard and spent a few days with friends.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wehrman and family of Loyal, Mrs. Ella Steiger of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Suda and family were Monday guests here at the home of Mrs. Erna Wehrman.  Barbara Wehrman accompanied her brother, Arthur, and family to Loyal for a visit.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Hans Kolpanen, who spent several days at the Orlin Fravert home and with other relatives and friends, returned to Milwaukee Tuesday.  They were accompanied by Mrs. Olga Sloniker who returned to Milwaukee after a visit here and by Mrs. Alma Mason, who will visit relatives in Milwaukee.

 

Weekend guests at the home of Mrs. Caroline Horn were her children and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnson and family of Malta, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Danielson and son, Merlyn and son, Michael, all of Woodstock, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Horn of Loyal; and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Horn and family.  Monday guests were Mr. and Mrs. William Froelich of Barrington, Ill.  The Elmer Johnson family also visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Johnson.

 

Sandra Peltier returned to Westboro after spending a week with her brother, William Kuchenbecker, and family.
