Reineke, Evelyn Elizabeth (28 February 1916 - 29 November 2010)

 

Evelyn Elizabeth Morrison was born on February 28, 1916, in the Town of Butler, Clark County, to Eden and Sarah (Brockley) Morrison.  She passed away on Monday, November 29, 2010, at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire.

 

Evelyn grew up on her parents’ farm and attended the Butlerville School, graduating from Thorp High School with the Class of 1934.  In April of 1936, she married Alvin Reineke at the Methodist annex in Thorp.  In the early years of their marriage, they lived in several towns including Thorp, Superior, Nekoosa and Stoddard.  In 1948, they moved to their home in Eau Claire where she resided for the past 62 years.  Evelyn was a housewife devoted to her family.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Eileen Books; and three brothers: Art, Bert and Roy.

 

Evelyn is survived by her son, Emil (Lynette); son-in-law, Lauren Books; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

 

Memorial services for Evelyn Reineke will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 2, at First Baptist Church Chapel in Eau Claire, with Pastor Loyd Arnold officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

 

Interment will be in Butlerville Cemetery, Town of Butler, Clark County.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the charity of your choice.
