Morgan, Fred L. (28 MAY 1878 - 9 MAY 1957)

Fred L. Morgan, 78, a resident of the Town of Butler (Clark Co., Wis.), died of bronchial pneumonia at Owen on Thursday, May 9th, 1957.  He had been totally blind for nearly the past two years.

He and his wife operated a store in the Town of Butler for many years.  Two years ago his eyesight and health began to fail him and in wandering away from his home he became lost in the woods for a time.  Searchers found him before any ill had befallen him.

He was born in Wisconsin on May 28, 1878.

Surviving are his wife and two daughters, Mrs. A. J. Follingstad, Thorp, and Mrs. Pirl Burrington, East Grand Forks, Minn.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ohman of Eau Claire at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon, May 11th, and burial was made in the Spring Lake Cemetery at Elmwood, Wis.
