Flora, Ethel (8 FEB 1879 - 8 MAY 1957)

Mrs. Ethel Flora, age 78, passed away Wednesday, May 1^st, 1957 at 5:20 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Verne Peet, route 3, Stanley.

Mrs. Flora was born Feb. 8, 1879 at Poynette, Wis., Columbia Co., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Warner.  She moved to the Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) area with her parents at an early age.  She was married to Samuel Flora on Nov. 10, 1897.  He preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1930.

Mrs. Flora is survived by twelve children: Mrs. Verne (Nina) Peet and Mrs. Arthur (Joyce) Samuelson, both of Stanley; Mrs. H. G. (Lylia) Harlen and Mrs. LeRoy (Juriel) Mathiesen of Boyd; Mrs. Robert (June) Wagner and Clayton Flora of Thorp; Mrs. Edward M. (Norma) Nelson of Gilman; Mrs. Adella Gilbert, Kalamazoo, Mich., Gordon Flora of Milwaukee; Mrs. Earl (Luella) Granrath and Emmett Flora, West Allis, Wis., and Mrs. Melvin (Mabel) Biddle, South Milwaukee, 32 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at two o’clock at the funeral home in Stanley with Rev. Garnet Smith officiating.  Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery.
