Malecki, Mary (14 FEB 1886 - 6 MAY 1957)

 

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church here at ten o’clock Thursday morning, May 9th, for Mrs. Louis Malecki Sr., 71, of the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield on Monday, May 6, 1957, death being caused by a blood clot.  Rev. Francis Piekarski officiated at the requiem Mass, assisted by Rev. C. Chilicki and Rev. Jerome Knopka.

 

Mary Kedziora was born in Poland on Feb. 14, 1886.

 

She was united in marriage to Louis Malecki at McMillian, Wis., on July 4, 1904.  They located on a farm in the Town of Withee where they resided for many years.

 

Mrs. Malecki is survived by her husband and two sons, Stanley and Louis Jr. of Thorp; four daughters, Lottie, Mrs. Mike Lukasiewicz, and Lillian, Mrs. Al Ogurek of Thorp, Ann, Mrs. Walter Wargolet of Milwaukee, and Irene, Mrs. Tony Ratajczyk of Chicago; one brother, Mike Kedziora in Washington; one sister, Mrs. Walter Paralowicz of Antigo, Wis., 33 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  One son, Barney, a daughter Jean, Mrs. Ben Ceglarek, and a brother, Casimir Kedziora, preceded her in death.

 

She was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church Cemetery.

 

Grandsons of the deceased served as pallbearers: Walter, teddy and Kenneth Lukasiewicz, Marion Wargolet and Edwin and Clemence Ogurek.

 

Friends and relatives from out of town who were here to attend the funeral of Mrs. Louis Malecki Sr., on May 9th were: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wargolet and sons of Milwaukee, Rosemae and teddy Lukasiewicz and Mrs. Tony Ratajczyk and family of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Paralowicz, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Paralowicz, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Paralowicz and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fronek of Antigo, Wis., and Mrs. Alex Kowieski of Minneapolis.
