Longwood, Wisconsin Record (8 March 1894)

Rain has fallen the past few days taking the snow so as to prevent any sleighing.  There are promises of fierce weather during this month.

Bob Campbell of Neillsville spent a few hours in the village Saturday.

Sadie Meade is visiting relatives in Glidden.

The report concerning the marriage of George Barr and Ritha Sheehan, was false.  Gossipers must have work if others do not; "Hard times" does not trouble them.

Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Dewey called on friends in the village Sunday.

P. H. Sheehan’s camp broke Saturday, together with many others on account of a deficiency of snow.

A few of the school children and some others have been vaccinated the past few days.

It is understood that a dance will be held in the town hall next Saturday eve.  All are invited.

Effie Andrews of Greenwood visited with relatives in the village Saturday and Sunday.

Mrs. Martha Gibson returned from St. Paul Friday.

W. S. Smith was in the village Saturday.

Edna Sheehan spent Saturday and Sunday with parents.
