Neillsville, Wisconsin Area (February - 1959)

 

Stanley Evanson of Detroit Lakes, Minn., landed Friday at the Marshfield Airport and upon arrival called his brother, Orville Evanson.  Orville and his father Edwin Evanson drove to Marshfield for a visit with their brother and son, who was enroute to Chicago to attend a sports show.

 

Arne Matheson of Macomb, Ill., spent the weekend with his wife and daughter.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Engum are in Elgin, Ill., today (Thursday) where Mr. Engum was called to undergo a physical examination for army induction.

 

Weekend visitors at the Bergen Smith home were their two daughters, Marie Smith and Mrs. Ronald Parrett and daughter, Connie Jo.

 

Jess W. Scott will deliver an address, "Abraham Lincoln - He Belongs to the Ages," Monday at the meeting of the Federated Women’s Club of Chippewa Falls.  Mr. Scott is a director of the Lincoln Fellowship of Wisconsin.

 

Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Georgas visited the Rev. and Mrs. Alfred Schewe in Milwaukee last weekend and on Sunday attended the 50th wedding anniversary celebration for Mrs. Schewe’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Moelkentien. The party was held in the recreation rooms of the church served by Mrs. Schewe’s brother the Rev. Carl Moelkentien.

 

Mrs. Henry Broad of Milwaukee returned home Sunday after spending several days with her mother, Mrs. Carl Lewerenz, while her father, Carl Lewerenz was a surgical patient in Marshfield.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Frei and children of Black River Falls, visited Sunday with her father, August Janke.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Naedler, Jr. Milwaukee were weekend guests at the home of his parents.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Flick have move to Racine, where Mr. Flick is working.

 

Norbert Berlick spent the weekend in Milwaukee visiting his sisters.  He was a house guest at the Eugene Hart home.  Enroute home he visited another sister in Eagle.

 

Mrs. Edith Schoengarth underwent surgery at Memorial Hospital Wednesday.  Mrs. Ann Cole will assist at the Anna Lastofka home, where Mrs. Schoengarth is employed, during her absence.

 

Bobby Hainzlsperger, who spent the last two months with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hainzlsperger, left Saturday for California, where he expects to find work.
