Czarnecki, Regina (3 NOV 1956)

A very pretty wedding took place at 10 o’clock on Saturday morning, Nov. 3, 1956, at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp, Wis., when Miss Regina Czarnecki, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Czarnecki of Thorp, became the bride of Joseph Harycki, son of Mr. and Mrs. Basil Harycki of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

Rev. Father Piekarski performed the double ring ceremony.

At Offertory the "Ave Maria" was beautifully sung by Mrs. Lillian Kaczmarek, accompanied by Al Ciolkosz on the organ.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a gown of lace and net over satin.  The fitted lace bodice, featuring long pointed sleeves, a sweetheart neckline trimmed with pearls, lace covered buttons down the back, extended into a lace and net skirt which had two insertions of accordion pleats and cathedral train.

Her veil was of French illusion with lace edging and her headpiece was made of sequins and pearls matching the dress.

She carried a colonial style bouquet including pink roses and white mums.  She wore a pearl choker and earrings which were a gift from the groom.

The bridesmaids were Miss Minnie Pawlicki, a friend of the bride, and Mrs. Michael Briski Jr., sister of the groom.  Their strapless gowns were of blue and shrimp net over taffeta with fitted lace bodice, three tiers of net in the skirts and lace jackets and midriff collars.  They wore matching sequin headpieces trimmed with with veils.  Their rhinestone necklace and earrings were a gift from the bride.

They carried colonial bouquets of white and yellow mums.

The groom wore a powder blue jacket with black trousers with a carnation boutonniere.

Chester Czarnecki, brother of the bride, acted as best man and the groom’s other attendant was Michael Briski Jr., brother-in-law of the groom.  They wore powder blue jackets with black trousers and carnation boutonnieres.

The bride’s mother was attired in a black dress trimmed with white and black accessories.  The groom’s mother chose a blue dress with navy accessories.  They both wore corsages of white and pink carnations.

A wedding breakfast was served following the ceremony at St. Hedwig’s Hall to immediate relatives and a 6 o’clock supper for 250 guests.  Music was furnished in the evening by Leon Lesniewski and his orchestra.

They spent their honeymoon in Michigan.  They are residing in the town of Thorp.

Guests attending the wedding from out of town were: Mr. Chester Czarnecki, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Czarnecki, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Olsak and daughters, Judy and Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kautenberg, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mueller, Glen Ellyn, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mrozinski, Arlington Heights, Ill.; Mr. William Winters, River Forest, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. John Staszkowski, Marinette, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Slivicki and daughter, Elaine, and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Slivicki of Mosinee, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. John Zajac and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zajac from Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ratzburg, Milwaukee, Wis.  Others attending the wedding were from Greenwood, Boyd, Stanley, Gilman, Lublin, and Chippewa Falls.
