Levis Township (29 October 1959)

 

A birthday party was held Saturday evening for Merton Davis at the James V. Young home.  Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Hal Davis of Gary, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Davis, and Billy of Stevens Point; Mrs. Belle Mortimer, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence of York; Mrs. Merton Davis and Mr. and Mrs. James Young.  Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Thurber of South Line, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Guinn of Willard were recent visitors there.

 

James V. Young who spent several weeks at Memorial Hospital returned home Wednesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Embke and sons, Eugene and Delbert, visited her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Hulett, in Alma Center Sunday. The occasion was the birthday of Mrs. Hulett.  Dinner guests also included Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Embke and children and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Embke and children of Levis.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hagie visited Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Matousek.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Anderson visited his sister, Mrs. Scott Raether, in Eau Claire Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Ehlers and children attended the funeral of her uncle in Milwaukee Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Don Hagie accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Don Lipscy to Eau Claire Friday evening.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hagie spent two days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Clark Pederson in Soldiers Grove.
