Trinity Lutheran church was the scene of the wedding ceremony of Miss Janet Luchterhand and James Bradshaw on Saturday, June 24. The Rev. J. C. Langholz officiated.

 

Miss Luchterhand wore a white Palm Brach suit, white picture hat, pink gloves and white shoes. Her corsage of roses was tied with a blue ribbon bow, and she carried a white Bible. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Luchterhand of the town of Loyal.

 

Her maid of honor, Miss Margaret Herdrich, wore a blue suit, white picture hay, white gloves and white shoes. Her corsage of roses and carnations was tied with a white ribbon.

 

The groom, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Bradshaw of Osseo, chose his friend, Neil Cook, to serve as his best man. Ushers were James Zuege, a cousin of the bride, and Clinton Harriman, the groom’s brother-in-law.

 

Miss Mary Nysted, as organist, played the wedding march and accompanied Miss Wanda Nysted, who sang "Dearly Beloved," and Misses Nysted and Eunice Langholz, singing "Oh Promise Me."

 

A 5 o’clock dinner was served in the church parlors to 30 guests. Table waitresses were Miss Langholz, Mrs, Norma Dahl and Misses Wanda and Jeanie Nysted. Otherassisting in serving the meal were Mrs. Peter Nysted, Mrs. Fred Clouse and Mrs. Fred Ziebell.

 

The wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom, centered the bridal table. It was baked by Mrs. Arthur Syth of Greenwood.

 

The bride chose June 24 as her wedding day to honor the 57th birthday of her father. A birthday cake, made by Mrs. Dennis Oestreich, sister of the bride, was served, and the guests also sang "Happy Birthday" for Mr. Luchterhand.

 

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bradshaw and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Harriman and infant daughter of Osseo and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Oestreich of Wisconsin Rapids.

 

The bride graduated from the Loyal high school of 1946, and is also a graduate of the two year rural state graded course at the Central State Teachers college in Stevens Point. The past year she was primary teacher at the Eaton Center state graded school.

 

The groom is a graduate of the Osseo high school, class of 1942. He enlisted in the air corps in December, 1942. He served 37 months in World War ll. Two years of this time were spent overseas in the China-Burma-India theater.

 

After a honeymoon spent in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, the couple will reside on the Luchterhand farm.

 

To the newlyweds, the Loyal Tribune extends its heartiest congratulations and best wishes for the future.
