RAPHAEL ROTH GRADUATES FROM MARQUETTE THIS WEEK

Included among the candidates for degrees at Marquette university in Milwaukee who will take part in the commencement exercises this weekend is Ralphael F. Roth, son of Mr. and Mrs. George  Roth of Loyal.

 

A candidate for the degree of  bachelor of science in business administration. Roth has been active in several Marquette student organizations, including Alpha Kappa Psi commerce fraternity, the Sodality and the Institute of Industrial Engineers and Executives.

 

Marquette commencement week end will be opened with baccalaureate services in the Gesh church on the campus at 4 p.m. at 4 p.m. Friday, June 10. The program will be highlighted by the annual senior-faculty cap and gown procession, a sermon by the Very Rev. Hugh J. Deeny, pastor of St. Patrick’s church in Sparta (Marquette class of 1928, and by solemn benediction))

 

The commencement exercises will be held in the main hall of the Milwaukee municipal auditorium at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, June 11, with the Very Rev. Edward J. O’Donnell, S. J., Marquette president, as the principal speaker. Father O’Donnell will confer the degrees after the seniors have been presented by their respective deans.

 

Coming from 26 states and Puerto Rico, the Marquette senior class includes 686 candidates for degrees, distributed as follows in the university; graduate school, 36 liberal arts; 228 speech; 23 journalism; 36 business administration; 179 nursing; 50 dentistry/dental hygiene; 35 medicine. 73, and medical technology, six. Ninety-four other  youths were graduated from the college of engineering on May 27.
