Spranger, Gerhardt P. "Pete" (13 July 1905 - 13 August 1959)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Hansen Funeral Chapel in Marshfield for Gerhardt P. (Pete) Spranger, 54, formerly of Loyal and Neillsville who died Thursday at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dillenbeck, in Marshfield.  The Rev. G. M. Krueger of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiated, and burial was made in the West Spencer Cemetery.

 

Mr. Spranger was born July 13, 1905, in the Town of Weston, and received his education in the Weston schools.  Following his marriage to the former Rose Hagen in Neillsville, he resided for several years in Chicago.  Later he returned to operate the family farm until last year, when he was forced to retire due to ill health.

 

He is survived by: two daughters, Miss Shirley Spranger, Marshfield; and Miss Carol Spranger of Long Beach, Calif.; and a son, Gary Spranger, also of Long Beach.  Other survivors include: a brother, Louis Spranger, Greenwood; and four sisters: Mrs. Charles (Minnie) White, and Mrs. Jennie Schoenwetter, both of Neillsville; Mrs. Roger (Dorothy) Dillenbeck and Mrs. Orville (Martha) Dimler, Marshfield.

 

Pallbearers were: Dale Lindekugel, Oscar Lindekugel, James Voight, Gustave Voight, James O’Brien and Henry Lemke.
