Peleschak, Mr. & Mrs. Ambrose (Gold - 19 JUL 1956)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Peleschak of Lublin were feted to a Golden celebration in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, July 14th, 1956.  The couple was married at Monessen, Pa., on July 19th, 1906.  They are the parents of 12 children, 3 of whom are deceased, and the following: Matt, Mrs. Stanley (Helen) Gasiorowski, Mrs. Leon (Ann) Wojniak and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Zielinski of Chicago, Mrs. John (Ella) Skapyak of Clear Lake, Wis., Mike of Hammond, Ind., Mrs. Edward (Irene) Jasinski of Lublin, Nick and Mrs. Marvin (Katherine) Piwoni of Gilman.

 

The celebration began with Mass at 10:00 a.m. at the Russian Orthodox Church at Lublin, with a noon lunch for the immediate family and a 6:00 p.m. dinner for relatives and friends, which was served at Marion’s Hall, followed by a dance in the evening.  Music was furnished by the Jolly Polkateers, including Matt Peleschak.

 

The Hall was beautifully decorated to suit the occasion, and cut flowers and a three tier wedding cake adorned the tables.

 

The bride of 50 years was attired in a gold nylon lace over satin dress, made by her daughter, Mrs. Marvin Piwoni.  She wore a gold corsage and white accessories.

 

The groom wore a gold boutonniere, as did the sons and sons-in-law.  The daughters, daughters-in-law, wore gold corsages also.

 

Out of town guests who attended included the following: Mr. and Mrs. Matt Peleschak and family, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Gasiorowski and Sally Marie, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wozniak and children, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gasiorowski, Mr. Kermit Moses, Mr. and Mrs. Marko Pedley and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Terlecki and family, all of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Peleschak and sons of Hammond, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. John Skapyak and family of Cedar Lake, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fall and family, Rev. and Mrs. Patryuk, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lu Conic and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lu Conic of Clayton, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Piwoni and John of Athens, and many other friends and relatives from Medford, Thorp, Gilman and Huron.

 

Eight of their nine children were able to attend, and 18 of their 19 grandchildren were present.

 

Plans and preparations were made by the couple’s children with Mrs. Edward Jasinski in charge.

 

Many congratulations and best wishes were extended to the happy couple.
