The marriage of Loretta Micke and Waldemar Olinski took place at St. Ann’s Catholic Church at Stanley on Saturday, June 16, 1956, at 10 a.m.  The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Cramer.

The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Micke of the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her father.  Her floor length gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over satin was styled with a fitted lace bodice and mandarin collar outlined with brilliants and pearls and long lace sleeves.  The full skirt had panels of lace on either side of accordion pleated tulle of the skirt front with a lace panel furnishing back interest.

Her French illusion fingertip veil was scalloped and fell from a bonnet studded with iridescents and she carried two orchids surrounded by sweet peas and lilies of the valley.

Rachel Micke, the bride’s sister, as maid of honor, Shirley Lee of Milwaukee, a friend, as bridesmaid, and Louise Rembecki of Detroit, Mich., a niece of the groom, as bridesmaid, wore gowns of blue crystalette over satin fashioned with full skirts and halter tops.  Jacket with three quarter length sleeves completed their attire, and they carried pink flowers set on a blue base.

The flower girl, Darlene Ciokiewicz, the niece of the bride, was dressed in a gown of white with net over taffeta with a mandarin collar outlined with sequins and she carried a bouquet of white carnations.

Attending the groom, wearing tuxedos, as best man was Elmer Heiman, cousin of the bride, and groomsmen, Tony Pietzen of Owen, friend of the groom, and Norbert Micke, the brother of the bride.

Serving as ushers were Leonard Heiman of Milwaukee, and Carl Kiraly of Thorp.

The bride’s mother chose a dark pink nylon dress to wear at her daughter’s wedding, and had a corsage of pink and white roses.  The groom’s mother wore a dress of aqua lace and had a corsage of yellow roses.

St. Hedwig’s Hall was beautifully decorated with blue and white, where the wedding dinner for about 100 guests and the reception and supper for 300 guests at 6 o’clock, was held.  The table were decorated with bouquets of colored daffodils and the bridal table was centered with a beautiful cake.

Music for the dance in the evening was furnished by the Krazy Derby’s.

The bride wore a black linen suit with white accessories when leaving on a trip to northern Wisconsin.  They will be at home after June 22^nd at 1647 A North 27^th Street, at Milwaukee, where the groom is employed at the Hotpoint Co. and the bride at Cutler Hammer, Inc.

The bride attended Busy Bee School, St. Ann’s Parochial School and Stanley High School.  The groom attended Pineland Grade School and Thorp High School.

Pre-nuptial showers were given by Mrs. Paul Lee and daughter Shirley at their home at Milwaukee, and also by fellow employees.
