Gardner, Velma (8 DEC 1951)

Trinity Lutheran Church was the scene of a nuptial ceremony last Saturday afternoon as Velma Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gardner, and Elmer Gotter, son of Mrs. Elsie Gotter, were united in marriage by Rev. E. Aalto.

The bride wore a white satin gown which had a ninon yoke.  A crown of seed pearls and rhinestones held her fingertip veil.  She carried an open heart bouquet of red roses and gladioli.

Darlene Gotter, the groom’s sister, was maid of honor.  She was attired in a gold satin gown and carried a matching bouquet of carnations.

Mrs. Vern Gardner, the bride’s sister-in-law, and Donna Gardner, Milwaukee, a sister of the groom, were the bridesmaids.  Their gowns were green and pink satin respectively, and they carried matching bouquets of carnations.

Vernon Casper, Colby, was the best man, while Vern Gardner, Greenwood, and John Cobbs, Ft. Sheridan, Ill., were groomsmen.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents in the afternoon, while a supper was served at the church parlors in the evening.

The bride and groom are graduates of Loyal High School.  They are making their home west of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) on the Dennis Larson farm.
